Cash Plus awards $25,000 to customers and their favorite charities!
Cash Plus, Inc. announced today that three charities were among the big winners in their latest Cashaway™ Sweepstakes, which awarded $25,000 to 329 winners and their favorite charities. The annual cash giveaways are one way the family financial services company gives back to communities. The company said that with almost 60,000 entrants, this was one of the biggest turnouts ever.
In addition to winning $5,000, $2,500 and $1,500 respectively, the first, second and third place winners designated their favorite charities to receive additional cash donations provided by Cash Plus.
Grand Prize winner Mary A. McCloud of Fort Pierce, FL, took home $5,000. She selected Feed the Children as her charity of choice, which received a $1,500 donation in her name. Said Mary: “They’ve helped a lot of families and I’m very happy to be able to give them something back to help them with their work.”
The $2,500 second place winner, Ramiro Jimenez of Ontario, CA, selected Ronald McDonald House, which runs over 300 support homes where families can stay when a member is confined to a hospital room. They received a $1,000 contribution in Ramiro’s name.
Judith Hamilton of West Chester, OH, received $1,500 as the third place winner. Judith picked Freestore Foodbank, which started in 1971 in Cincinnati and distributes more than 19 million meals throughout Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana.
Since launching its industry-first Cashaway Sweepstakes program in 2001, the company has given away more than $300,000 to winners and charities. “Cash Plus stores are independently owned and operated by local people,” explains Craig Wells, President and CEO of Tustin-based Cash Plus, Inc., the parent franchise company. “Like our company, our operators are committed to giving back to their communities. The stories we hear from them about their winners and charities are truly heartwarming and make it all worthwhile.”
