Question 4

How much can I borrow on a payday loan and what is the minimum/maximum amount?

Accepted Answer

In California, typical payday loan amounts range from approximately $50–$100 up to the state-regulated maximum of around $255 for a single payday loan. The amount you qualify for depends on your income, pay frequency, and verification of your information.

Question 5

What are your fees and APR for payday loans, and how is the total repayment amount calculated?

Accepted Answer

Payday loans charge a flat fee based on the amount borrowed, within California legal limits. The total repayment amount equals the principal plus the fee. Customers receive written disclosures showing the principal, fee, total of payments, and APR as required by law.

Question 6

Do you perform a credit check, and will this affect my credit score?

Accepted Answer

Most payday loans do not use a traditional credit bureau score or involve a hard inquiry. Decisions are primarily based on income, employment information, banking history, and identification. However, seriously past-due accounts sent to collections may be reported by third parties and could affect your credit score.

Question 7

What documents do I need for a car title loan?

Accepted Answer

You generally need a clear vehicle title in your name, current vehicle registration, proof of insurance, valid government-issued photo ID, proof of income, and proof of residency. The vehicle may also need to be inspected.

Question 8

Do I keep my car while repaying the title loan and what happens if I default?
