Simply bring in an acceptable form of payment (cash or debit card only), and in a few minutes, your money will be on its way. For added security and convenience, you can provide a "test question" for the recipient. That way the recipient doesn't need to show ID, yet you can be sure that the intended person receives the funds.
What to bring.
If sending more than $1000, you must provide a current, government-issued ID (driver's license, state ID, passport (or passport card), alien ID card, tribal ID, or military ID).
If sending more than $3000, you must also present your Social Security card.
Information for your recipient.
The person you're wiring money to simply shows the appropriate information (Money Transfer Control Number, or MTCN) at the pick-up location (often a supermarket, convenience store, or check cashing outlet). The recipient must also show valid, government ID (or be able to answer the sender's test question). It's that easy!
